\nO jornal Gazeta do Povo<\/a><\/strong> na edição desta terça-feira, 26, divulgou uma reportagem sobre o projeto do Fundo Iguaçu para implementar um autódromo aqui na fronteira. <\/p>\n

Segundo a reportagem, o autódromo Internacional de Curitiba está prestes a ser fechado e pode virar um condomínio. O terreno está em negociação, basta apenas os proprietários decidirem qual proposta aceitar. <\/p>\n

Se isso se concretizar, Foz do Iguaçu deve ser colocar como candidata a ser um novo pólo do automobilismo do Estado. Conforme a reportagem, o projeto em Foz seria construído às margens do Lago de Itaipu e teria capacidade para 20 mil pessoas. Além do autódromo, o local contaria com arena para shows, centro de convenções, marina, kartódromo e pista para motocross. <\/p>\n

Neste momento, o Fundo Iguaçu busca investidores para que o projeto saia do papel. De acordo com o presidente da instituição, Gilmar Piolla, a ideia é utilizar o potencial turístico de Foz para colocar a cidade no circuito de grandes eventos nacionais. "Acredito que o projeto não é concorrente com Curitiba. Mas, se o autódromo fechar, ajuda o nosso projeto porque o apelo seria maior", disse Piolla a Gazeta do Povo.<\/p>\n

O projeto está estimado em cerca de U$ 100 milhões e seria todo bancado por investidores. No valor está incluso desde a desapropriação do terreno até a construção de 10 quilômetros de vias de acesso da BR-277 até o local.<\/p>\n

Caso o Fundo Iguaçu não consiga captar investimentos é possível que o seja construído apenas o autódromo, já que um grupo de hoteleiros da cidade tem interesse em realizar a obra. <\/p>\n
