O primeiro trimestre de 2011 lotou os principais atrativos turísticos e levou Foz do Iguaçu a bater novos recordes de visitação. O movimento no lado brasileiro do Parque Nacional do Iguaçu (PNI), por exemplo, foi o maior da história. No total, 405,5 mil pessoas passaram pelas Cataratas nos três primeiros meses deste ano, contra 344,5 mil no mesmo período do ano passado. Uma diferença de 60,9 mil pessoas – ou 17,7%.<\/p>\n

Desde que o parque começou a fazer estatística, 26 anos atrás, nunca o atrativo tinha recebido tanta gente neste período.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

No Complexo Turístico Itaipu (CTI) não foi diferente. As atrações levaram para a usina no primeiro trimestre deste ano 122,5 mil pessoas – considerando as visitas turísticas e institucionais. O salto foi de 5,7%. O melhor mês deste ano foi janeiro, quando 56,1 mil turistas passaram pelo complexo.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

O fluxo de turistas nos principais atrativos da cidade refletiu no movimento do Aeroporto Internacional de Foz do Iguaçu. Nos três primeiros meses do ano, o número de passageiros embarcados chegou a 413,4 mil, contra 277,9 mil no mesmo período do ano passado – crescimento de 48,7%.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Para o gerente do CTI, Jaime Nascimento, o modelo inédito de gestão integrada do turismo, que pela primeira vez uniu instituições públicas e privadas para a promoção do Destino Iguaçu, tem levado o setor a bater recordes sucessivos. “Tivemos uma visitação forte antes mesmo do carnaval e também durante o feriado. A gente atribui esse movimento ao trabalho de divulgação do destino e também ao aumento no número de voos, que dá a oportunidade para que o turista venha para Foz do Iguaçu”, avaliou.<\/p>\n
